Jelly Bean Ball for Diabetes

The DANII Foundation has announced its inaugural Jelly Bean Cruise as an outstanding success, filling a “huge gap in the education of kids and parents who desperately need more education about managing their diabetes,” said the Foundation’s director Donna Meads-Barlow.

As a result, it will now be an annual event. “It was truly amazing to see so many happy Type 1 diabetic kids interact with other Type 1 kids in the kids club making new friends whether Type 1 or not!

“A tremendous success and extremely fulfilling for our Danii Team,” she added.

The Celebrity Solstice cruise liner (above) hosted the inaugural 3-night educational weekend with over 100 Type 1 diabetic children aged 4-21 together with parents, siblings grandparents and friends.

Registrations are now open for the 3rd Annual Danii Meads-Barlow Foundation Jelly Bean Ball to be held at the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth Hotel on Sat 14 June 2014. Click here for tickets.
