 Atorvastatin bound to HMG-CoA reductase

CoQ10 deficiency may be related to certain conditions such as congestive heart failure; angina; acute myocardial infarction and high blood pressure. In addition, CoQ10 depletion may contribute to aging and compromise immune function.

Statins lower levels of coenzyme Q10 by inhibiting HMG-CoA reductase, the enzyme involved in the production of mevalonate, the precursor of CoQ10.

Customers taking a statin should also consider the benefits associated with daily consumption of Co Q10.
