Caution when coupling Vitamin C + Propranolol

     

A study has found that taking vitamin C with propranolol – a beta blocking agent used in hypertension to lower blood pressure - may reduce the amount of propranolol in the blood and its effectiveness. While further studies are needed, patients taking propranolol should be cautioned about the potential for a significant interaction with vitamin C.
