The Intern Incentive Allowance for Rural Pharmacies under the 5CPA provides financial support to rural and remote pharmacies when employing intern pharmacists.

Each eligible pharmacy can receive up to $10,000 for every intern employed for 12 months.

Eligible pharmacies also have the option of employing an intern pharmacist full-time for six months to receive a $5,000 incentive payment.

Applications for internships between six and 12 months are calculated on a pro rata basis.
