How to test for dehydration

Medical testing can now be conducted on the run - literally. Perspiration is the body’s normal response to overheating during exercise or even just normal day to day activity, and holds the key to understanding one’s health status on many parameters.

An international team of scientists has developed the first stick-on patch (pictured) that analyses sweat to provide detailed information about dehydration, electrolyte, sweat rate, and fatigue levels, they report in the journal Science Translational Medicine.
