Hydroxychloroquine, Ibuprofen and Blood Type: Looking at the COVID-19 Myths Causing Confusion

Social media has been awash with misleading information about COVID-19. This includes concerns that people with blood group A are at a higher risk of infection, the possibility that ibuprofen worsens the outcomes of those with the disease, and hydroxychloroquine has been touted as a miracle cure.

This article debunks a number of circulating myths and seeks to set the record straight when it comes to confusion regarding the coronavirus. The ponderous, incremental process of science does not sit easily in the social media world where we want answers in seconds, however this crucial process will ultimately provide us with a better understanding of the virus.
